Thank you so much for considering us as adoptive parents. We truly hope that you have been blessed with all the love and support you need during this amazing decision-making period. As for introductions, we are Christopher and Samantha. The additional furry member of our family is our tiny cat, Soleil! We are an international couple with Sam originally coming from Manchester in the U.K. and Chris being from Tampa, Florida, by way of Virginia, Tennessee, Utah, Alabama and Germany (yup, he was a military child!). So, it might come as no surprise that we thoroughly enjoy traveling and hope to introduce our child to the incredibly enriching experiences of discovering new cultures and teaching him or her to have a greater appreciation of all the blessings in our lives when we learn how others live around the world. We also feel incredibly fortunate that we can offer our child a loving and supportive global network of family and friends who have played a major role in our lives throughout the years.
We met in 1994 in Germany while Chris was studying (undergrad History/German) and I was teaching during a university summer program. After finishing up my German Master's in the U.S. (undergrad Russian/German), we moved to Germany and lived there for a few years before returning to the U.S. where Chris completed his MBA. We got married in 1999 and since then we have enjoyed a wonderful journey of fascinating adventures together. Chris is a project manager with an international company and Sam is an Immigration Specialist with a law firm. We love our work and its daily challenges, but we are both so excited about embarking upon a new chapter now and making a child the focal point of our lives. We both love spending time with family and, although they might be spread out in different parts of the U.S. and U.K., we have always made a point of keeping our relationships close and visiting each other frequently. We live in Decatur and love the wide choice of parks, schools and varying community events around and about. We cannot wait to show our little boy or girl all the things we enjoy: hiking, biking, swimming, playing games, ice-skating, reading, movies, and we look forward to him or her teaching us new things as well. We have so much love to give to a child and we know we have the capacity to make incredibly loving and giving parents who are both responsible and fun - yes, those two can go together!

We are Dan and Rebecca. We are in awe of the courage, compassion, and love it took to make this decision. We know it wasn’t easy. We want you to know that your baby will be loved so much in our family; not just by Dan and me, but also by a large extended family and many close friends. Dan and I have both been in Atlanta for over twenty years, and both Dan’s parents and my parents live in Atlanta. Dan’s sister and her husband live in Atlanta, and they have a baby girl, Abby, and another girl on the way. We love spending time with Abby and can’t wait to meet her little sister. My brother and his wife live in DC and have two adorable little boys, Ryan and Alex. Our nieces and nephews can’t wait to meet their new baby cousin! We also have an adorable three-year old dog, Margie. She’s a puggle and absolutely adores children. Dan is an electrical engineer, and I work at a promotional products company. However, when the baby comes home, I will stay home with him or her. All of our friends and family cannot wait to welcome a baby girl or boy into our lives. Your baby will have so many opportunities, such as great schools, lots of parks and activities for children, and wonderful libraries. Dan and I both believe that the most important part of raising a child is love, patience, and understanding; and we can’t wait to teach our child through experiences like visiting the zoo, going to children’s museums, going on trips, or just doing arts and crafts projects at home. Who knew you could make so many memories just by building a fort or camping out with mom and dad in the backyard, but you can! We want our children to have those experiences, as well. We both grew up in close families where we ate dinner together and went on vacations, and we want to carry on those traditions. We just can’t wait to welcome a baby into our home. He or she will be so loved!
